Tua Rita

Tua Rita is a winery located in Suvereto. When Rita and Virgilio bought it in 1984, those lands were only supposed to be the setting for a place to live in contact with nature. From the original 2 hectares of vineyard we reach the current 57. Among the first happy Italian experiences of “vin de garage”, thanks to the marketing of Stefano Frascolla, son-in-law of Rita and Virgilio, today he exports his wines all over the world.

Vineyard management has the fundamental objective of helping the plants defend themselves, guaranteeing, first of all, the health of the land and the environment with natural methods.

The lands of Tua Rita, arranged on a slight hill, with a constant slope, are located in that band of territory of the Alta Maremma which takes the name of Colline Metallifere. The wines, at different degrees of complexity, express a common element: the personality of this terroir, with aromas of ferrous notes and an intensely savory gustatory progression.

DISCOVER TUA RITA
A complete journey, discovering the history and philosophy of Tua Rita. A tour which, after a welcome in the tasting room, will take you among the rows of one of the company's most important vineyards, until you reach the new cellar and give you the opportunity to taste one or more wines, directly from the vats. The experience will continue in the heart of the winemaking processes inside the historic cellar and will find its culmination through the amphorae room and the suggestive barrel cellar. The tour will end with the tasting of 3 wines accompanied by a dish of local products.

TUA RITA BARRIQUE EXPERIENCE
A path that fascinates and allows us to delve deeper into the delicate and long refinement of our wines in French oak barriques. After visiting the historic and the new winemaking cellar, you will be guided to discover the vineyards, and then visit the suggestive barrique cellar where it will be possible to live the tasting experience directly from the barriques, with two previews of our crus being aged. The tour ends in the tasting room with the tasting of 3 wines accompanied by a dish of local products.

TUA RITA WILD AND CHIC
After the welcome in the tasting room and the visits to the vineyard and the winemaking and aging cellars, the journey begins again en plein air under the sign of adventure aboard a Jeep. Ends with a delicious picnic among the rows. An all-round sensorial experience to experience the infinite variations of nature. The wines tasted will be available to guests and can be taken to the picnic site. *Available from Monday to Friday. Reservation is required at least 48 hours in advance and prepayment is required.

TUA RITA PAIRING EXPERIENCE
After the welcome in the tasting room and a quick visit to the winemaking and aging cellars, the real journey begins at the table. The Pairing Experience is a tasting journey that combines the creativity of our chef with tradition, combining our wines with recipes that vary in accordance with seasonality, simplicity and Tuscan gastronomic tradition. * Limited availability. Reservation is required at least 48 hours in advance and prepayment is required.

EXCLUSIVE TUA RITA EXPERIENCE
Cooking class: a fantastic experience to fully experience the area. After the tour through the vineyards, the visit to the new and historic winemaking cellar and the aging cellar, the experience continues in the heart of the Tuscan food and wine tradition. Our chef will open the doors of his kitchen to you and guide you in the creation of typical dishes of our land. The culmination of the journey will be at the table, where you can taste the dishes prepared and paired with a selection of our company's wines.*Availability limited.
