Tenuta Argentiera is both the estate that is closest to the sea of all the DOC Bolgheri wines and at the highest altitude (200 metres/66 feet), rising up from the plains to the hills.

The project for the Cantina stemmed from the desire to create a building that was reminiscent of the architectural styles of the Tuscan Coast, especially the garrisons of the early eighteenth century. The details were created to reflect the spirit of the area, using typically Tuscan salvaged materials and terracotta brick coverings with typical shapes and colours.

Guests will leave The Sense by private car in order to enjoy this experience at its best. Upon arrival at the estate, they will have the opportunity to visit the Cantina Monumentale, located on the hills of “I Pianali”, which extends along a route running from the wine-fermentation room, through the barrel room to finally reach the panoramic terrace. The tasting of latest wines will take place here, accompanied by local products and Argentera Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
It is also possible to add a guided tour of the Argentiera Vineyard, the place where the iconic Bolgheri Superiore, named after the estate, is produced. It is possible to include in the tasting old vintages of Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore wines during the tour and upon advance request.
