The Experience
A guided tour of Rocca di Frassinello winery, designed by Renzo Piano. The visit starts from the majestic terracotta terrace with a 360° view of the Maremma hills, continues into the fascinating barrel cellar carved into the rock where 2,500 barriques rest in the dark.
The tour then leads to the adjacent rooms where the exhibition The Etruscans and Wine at Rocca di Frassinello displays artifacts found in the necropolis of San Germano discovered within the estate.
The tour ends with a guided tasting of four wines in the modern glass-and-steel Pavilion hosting David LaChapelle’s artwork Rapture of the Grape.
