Butteri

The butteri will put on an authentic demonstration of their daily tasks in the charming setting of the historic Maremma farm, “Il Marruchetone”. Riding their splendid Maremmano horses, they draw the spectators into a whirlwind of emotions, transporting them back to a bygone era of which they have preserved the many traditions.

The exertion, strength and courage are the same traits as those demonstrated by the people of Maremma who for centuries combated the rebellious land that was so difficult to tame.

The same attraction prevails, which makes this land so unique, an engaging show that embraces history, culture and tradition. All showcased by the butteri, the horses and the pure-bred Maremma cattle.
